In this particular issue the topic of hyperhidrosis is being discussed quite extensively. The different treatment modalities are being reviewed by the authors. Dr. Reisfeld wrote a chapter about the conservative treatment of focal hyperhidrosis. It should be emphasized that any patient who suffers from focal hyperhidrosis should first try some of the conservative measures mentioned in this chapter. Even though the success rate for conservative non surgical treatments is not high it still important for those considering surgery to try first.
Overall the book gives updated information about the surgical treatment options with emphasis on the different views and approaches held by different experts in the field of hyperhidrosis.
