About Dr. Rafael Reisfeld

Dr. Reisfeld has been a highly respected authority on hyperhidrosis and its treatment for decades.

He was one of the first surgeons to perform the ETS procedure. He remains one of only two specialists worldwide who can perform surgical procedures for excessive sweating in the hands and feet.

As a pioneer and researcher, Dr. Reisfeld has contributed a substantial volume of literature in the field of hyperhidrosis.

He has also been featured in print and news media, including CBS (Columbia Broadcasting System), Fox News, and Newsweek.

Dr. Reisfeld is a board-certified surgeon and diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.

He completed his medical degree from Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School in Israel and finished his residency at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Reisfeld, now Dr. Basseri’s partner at The Center for Hyperhidrosis, was encouraged to specialize in hyperhidrosis after a childhood friend struggled with the condition.

Everything we do at the Center is driven by that core pursuit: discovering and refining solutions for those living with hyperhidrosis.

If you want to delve deeper into our treatment approach to hyperhidrosis, you may read Dr. Basseri’s and Dr. Reisfeld’s peer-reviewed papers below:
