Dear Dr.Reisfeld,
I had my sympathectomy in August of 2003, so it’s been almost 2 years! I just can’t thank you enough for changing my life. I feel free. I no longer feel self-conscious in work or social situations and I don’t have to choose my clothes and shoes specifically for my “condition”. I had gotten to a point where I was used to living with it and I did not know any different, but now, knowing a completely normal life, is just such a pleasure.
My hands are 100% better, my armpits are 90% better and my feet are about 85% better. My scars are almost unnoticeable. It sometimes feels like my hands must be sweating and then I feel them and they’re completely dry!
Recovery from the surgery was more painful than I thought it would be. It took about 2 weeks to feel completely recovered. You had to go in and re-do the clamp on my right side, so that may have been the reason for the pain. But even with all my discomfort, this outcome was completely worth it!
Thank you, thank you! You are an angel!
Sincerely,
Jaclyn Labovitch
