Dr. Peter Mikhail was educated in Montréal, Quebec and
Toronto, Ontario, receiving his medical degree
from McGill University in Montréal and
completing a general surgery residency under
Director Lorne Rotstein, MD, at the University
of Toronto. He went on to complete his
Cardiovascular, Thoracic, and Transplant Surgery
training at the University of Florida. He then
served on the faculty at the University of
Florida as an Assistant Professor of Surgery
before joining Orlando Health as a
Cardiovascular, Thoracic and Transplant Surgeon.
Dr. Mikhail’s clinical interests include
thoracoscopic treatment for hyperhidrosis,
cardiothoracic (heart and lung) transplantation
and aortic surgery. Dr. Mikhail is Board
Certified by the American Board of Surgery, The
American Board of Thoracic Surgery and The Royal
College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He
is a Fellow of both the American College of
Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of
Canada.
